Forgiveness can sometimes be the hardest skill of all.
One missing toy. One very upset elephant. And one friendship pushed to its limit. When Milo accidentally loses Mini’s favourite toy, Mini is upset and struggles to move past it. But Mini soon discovers that sometimes holding onto mistakes can hurt friendships more than the mistake itself.
The Teeny Tiny Voice is a sweet, relatable and helpful exploration of the subconscious mind.
My granddaughter was thrilled to receive this for Christmas. One of her favorite reads. Bought one for her birthday too.
The Mini and Milo series create situations where cooperation is at its centres and children reading will see that problems can be solved through cooperation and trying things out, particularly after asking a friend for help.
Because there will always be times we all need to work out what we are feeling, and children’s books can be a safe and judgement-free way and place to do this, and the simplicity can really help readers find out how to talk about what they are feeling.
My granddaughter actually asked for this book. I was happy to oblige her for her birthday.. She loves it..
I especially liked the way Mini’s voice was shown as a smaller, kind of invisible version of Mini herself, just a line drawing, while the real Mini and Milo and other elements of the story were in full colour. I loved The Teeny-Tiny Voice, and look forward to reading more of Mini and Milo.
