The power of believing in yourself.
One worried elephant. One confidence crisis. And one BIG step towards believing in yourself. When self-doubt starts getting in the way, Mini discovers that confidence isn’t about being perfect – it’s about believing in yourself, trying again, and discovering what you’re capable of. A heart-warming story that helps children build confidence, resilience and self-belief.
The Mini and Milo series create situations where cooperation is at its centres and children reading will see that problems can be solved through cooperation and trying things out, particularly after asking a friend for help.
Will ensure children love spending time with this pair and learn plenty of things along the way. Problem solving, working together and how to be a supportive friend are at the heart of Mini and Milo’s story.
Because there will always be times we all need to work out what we are feeling, and children’s books can be a safe and judgement-free way and place to do this, and the simplicity can really help readers find out how to talk about what they are feeling.
I especially liked the way Mini’s voice was shown as a smaller, kind of invisible version of Mini herself, just a line drawing, while the real Mini and Milo and other elements of the story were in full colour. I loved The Teeny-Tiny Voice, and look forward to reading more of Mini and Milo.
I think this is why this series is good for readers of all ages, to help us understand how we feel, how others feel, and how everyone navigates the world differently and understands the world differently. I hope that this series explores many ways of feeling to help everyone.
The Teeny Tiny Voice is a sweet, relatable and helpful exploration of the subconscious mind.
